Having lived in York most of my life I've had the pleasure of visiting a fair amount of our pubs for various reasons. A pint in my local, a night on the town, a date, beer festival, or working as bar staff, I've taken any excuse to see what's on offer and we are lucky to have a wide variety of places to get a drink. I get a lot of people asking me where to go, what's new, where to get a decent Sunday lunch, if a certain pub allows dogs etc. so this seemed like the best place to put all of this information together in one place. I'll either be visiting a place for the first time or re-visiting before writing the review. In recent years I have tended towards my local, so this is a great opportunity for me to get back into town and see what's out there.
